While in a TV program scientists were discussing the evolution, exponents of harunyahya.tv were occupied to gossip about the scientists simultaneously on their website.

Evolution polemic that was inflamed again by recent articles of Yiğit Bulut proceeded through the TV program on Habertürk. During the TV show, Dr. Oktar Babuna and Cihat Gündoğdu tried to “disprove” arguments of the scientists through harunyahya.tv. Supposedly Adnan Oktar (Harun Yahya) would participate in the program, but he did not.

Babuna and Gündoğdu presented same arguments as in last week’s TV program and referred to Koran to try disprove evolution, as well as they maintained an aggressive attitude. Followers of Harun Yahya, mostly remarkable for their finery and calm attitude, depicted Darwin as “wine addict, diseased personality, who wrote book and loafed around the ship with yelling”. The creationists described evolutionists as “so called scientists” and they “criticized” concepts of evolution with certain words such as “comedy, fiction, ridiculous absurdity”.

How about angels...
The creationist claimed that evolution theory relies on certain coincidences, and they applied to Koran to disprove the theory. The creationists argued that God need no reasons and consequently God created the universe “at that moment” saying “be”, not through evolution, nevertheless they did not slow down. They called in the question which evolution created angel and daemon, how felicities in the heaven evolved, how the snake came into existence out of the baton as well as the bird out of mud. The creationists tried to disprove evolution theory with these questions.

Babuna, who depicted the aim of the science as glorifying God, said, “There is no information regarding the existence of evolution in Koran”.

Demagogy
Babuna described science of Darwin as “pagan religion” and claimed that the real purpose of promoters of the evolution theory is promotion of atheism, in addition he said, “Darwinism is the religion of Freemasonry”. They argued that even the scientific journals as Science are in the grip of freemasons. During the conversation, they abused even national feelings as they said, “Turkish nation is very intelligent, they shall not be cheated by these absurdities, %95 of our people shall not believe in this pagan religion”. The creationists, who described authorities in science as Darwinist dictators, predicted that “Darwinism will be a history after 3-5 years”. The creationists lowered the tone as much as to argue that a sensible person cannot accept evolution theory, and they said that even a little smart child “knows” that there is a creator and there is no need to be a scientist to know this.

Sources were distorted
Babuna and Gündoğdu did not refer to evolution as a “theory” and they were insistent on inexistence of any intermediate forms. Babuna and Gündoğdu, who claimed that evolution theory has been falsified through 250 million fossils, quoted a lot of biologists and paleontologists especially Darwin and Dawkins. Around 11.15 pm Gündoğdu connected to TV program in Habertürk, and distortion of resources by Gündoğdu was presented by participants in the TV program.

Babuna claimed that they intended to participate in the TV program in Habertürk but they were obstructed. After the telephone connection to TV program, program in harunyahya.tv was completed.
