A Spanish Student is on trial because he attended a demonstration of DTP

Espinosa said “I attended a meeting of DTP which is a legal political party. I didn’t have the impression that the meeting was an illegal one.”

soL (NEWS DESK) The greatest newspaper of Spain; El Pais has published what has happened to the 24 year old journalism student Adriana Espinosa with the title of “The Nightmare of Adriana”.

In the interview it has been stressed that Espinosa could have studied for only four months in Gaziantep and was convicted to “command, coordinate and participate in an illegal meeting in order to support PKK” and if she was found guilty, she would be sentenced to one and a half year imprisonment and a cash fine of 25 thousand TL and in the interview her own comments have been emphasized.

She has stated that she was a housemate of two Kurdish women in Gaziantep and she participated in a demonstration that was organized by DTP and she added that she has never had the impression that the meeting was an illegal one and the police who were watching them did not say anything about it although afterwards the police has searched her house, her housemates were detained and she was investigated. Espinosa also underlines that she has returned to her country without any preoccupation.

When she was getting ready to return to Gaziantep, she learned that she had been accused of “propogandazing terror” and was sued because of it. In such a situation she indicates that she does not consider coming back to Turkey and she is also determined to bring this problem to European Court of Human Rights.
