Lets hate Spanish: It’s the World Cup Final

Some reasons why the Dutch should start hatred of Spain to motivate the country leading up to the major final match for the World Cup, according to the De Pers newspaper, distributed free in Netherlands.

Now that Germany, the "historical enemy" is no longer is their opponent in the final, De Pers wants Dutch to start hatred against Spain to motivate the Dutch team.

Here are some examples De Pers came up with:

• Around 12 thousand bulls are killed for entertainment in bull fights each year, and the dogs do not fare any better in Spain;
• The Spanish still embrace the Duke of Alva (the Iron Duke) who turned Holland into a blood bath and imposed heavy taxes (the tax of one hundredth, twentieth and tenth penny) in the 16th century, still appears on a popular cognac label in Spain;
• Spain is on the verge of financial crisis after Greece will cause more problems for the EU;
• Spanish men treat their women badly and beat or even murder them;
• Spanish tourists are to raudy, drink too much and disturb everyone when in Amsterdam.

The paper also claimed that Dutch team was kicked out of their hotel last Monday because the Royal Netherlands Football Association, only booked accommodation until the 5th of July, not confident that the team would reach the final.
